Is FocusDex free?
The download is free. Using the app requires FocusDex Pro, with a 7 day free trial on the yearly plan ($17.99 per year after that). A monthly plan at $3.99 and a lifetime unlock at $34.99 are also available.
Does FocusDex block other apps?
No. FocusDex does not block any app and does not detect when you leave it. It relies on motivation, with a reward at the end of every completed session and a full screen mode so you can put your phone down.
What if I leave the app during a session?
The timer keeps running even if you lock your iPhone or switch apps. Your reward is credited when you come back to FocusDex.
Does FocusDex time Pomodoro breaks?
FocusDex times your focus sessions. You take breaks freely between sessions, the app does not time them.
Is FocusDex suitable for people with ADHD?
FocusDex offers short sessions from 5 minutes and a reward at the end of every session, an approach many people who struggle to get started look for. It is not a medical device and has not been evaluated as one.
Do I need an account?
No. FocusDex works without sign up. Your progress is stored on your iPhone and is not synced across devices.
Which devices?
iPhone with iOS 17 or later. There is no iPad, Mac or Apple Watch version.
How do I cancel?
Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose FocusDex.
